Clarence Goffney, passed away on February 12, 2024. Born March 12, 1954 in New Braunfels, TX, Clarence brought joy and laughter to all those around him. His unique personality and humorous nature will be sorely missed.
One cannot think of Clarence without recalling his legendary knack for asking everyone for two dollars. If you happened to withhold this amount from him, his favorite word would echo through the room with playful admonishment: “You stingy!” This lighthearted habit endeared him to countless friends and acquaintances throughout the years.
We gather today to honor Clarence’s life and celebrate the cherished memories he left behind. The services will take place at the Golden Gate Funeral Home and A Crematory located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224.
The first event will be a visitation on February 19th, 2024, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 8:00 PM. It is an opportunity for family and friends to come together, pay their respects, and share remembrances of a remarkable man. In this time of grieving, we can find solace in each other’s presence as we navigate this difficult loss.
The following day, February 20th, 2024, marks the Celebration of Life service held at the same location. Starting at 11:00 AM; this gathering aims to commemorate Clarence’s zest for life. We shall celebrate his infectious humor and the unique impact he had on each person he encountered.
